La Vie Restaurant
La Vie is the restaurant of La Villa Hotel. Originally opened for our hotel guests, La Vie is now open to the public - by prior booking only.
Our philosophy for La Via is the same as has won us many awards for the hotel. Its about bringing the best ingredients to enable simple, elegant Italian dishes in a stylish, relaxed manner. Its also about offering a reflection of where we live.
Our chef, Ian Simpson, has worked alongside some of the most recognized names in the culinary world, including Albert Roux and Gordon Ramsey and winning Tilda Chef of the Year in 2014. Ian is passionate about Italian food - for him everything starts from the ground up, so that the produce is always fresh and only sourced from the local suppliers His dishes capture the essence of Italy - simple, flavourful, seasonal and delicious.
In July 2014, La Vie restaurant was named by the Times newspaper as one of the Top 20 hotel restaurants, as selected by top chefs.
Our food is complemented by an extensive wine cellar, which showcases Piemontese wineries. From the top names to hidden gems, our list is carefully selected for all budgets and styles.
La Vie is open to our guests for dinner every day during our main season from Easter to November. On Wednesday evenings, we offer a selection of Italian tapas instead of our formal menu.
Menus are fixed and change daily. Vegetarians, allergies and other dietary preferences are catered for with a bit of advance notice. Lunch is a simple affair and is available every day.
Meals are served in our indoor restaurant or, during the season with its warm balmy evenings, outdoors in the courtyard - under the stars. Perfect for romantic meals or special occasions.
