Getting married in Italy

La Villa is a perfect venue for your wedding. Stunning scenery, gourmet food and wine and, of course, the weather. Every wedding at La Villa is tailor made and every one different - you choose the style of wedding you want and leave the rest to us. We co-ordinate the administration, find the best suppliers and provide the translation service.

Local regulations require that Catholics must marry in a public building – typically a church or town hall, whereas non-Catholics can only marry on private property – in our case, on the lawns, on the roof or by the pool of La Villa. For Catholics, we can host the reception and wedding meal and can also arrange for a blessing to be conducted at the hotel.

What we offer

La Villa offers the venue for the wedding ceremony and the wedding reception and it also offers accommodation for you and your guests and a base for the whole wedding party before, during and after the wedding day.

We also manage all of the other key elements on your behalf and can take care of all the major issues for you.

Prices in Italy are also very attractive. The cost of the wedding, including the cost of flights, is likely to be considerably less than getting married back at home, or elsewhere.

Italian permissions – there are a number of forms to be completed and processes to be followed. We can help with all of this and will translate for you when you have to complete the final documentation in front of the mayor at the town hall a minimum of 4 days before the wedding.

Catering – we bring in specialist external caterers to ensure that the food and the service are of the highest quality and we help you to agree the menu with them.

Florists – you will be introduced to the florists on one of your planning visits and they will advise you which flowers will be in season to meet your preferred colour scheme.

Cake – Italian pastries are world-renowned and the cakes from our favourite pasticceria more than live up to this reputation.

Photography – View our library of wedding photographs to select a style and approach that suits your own preferences.

Wine – during one of your planning visits we will arrange for a series of wine tastings so that you can select the wines for your wedding meal.

Hairdressing and Manicure – the hairdresser is happy, by prior arrangement, to come to La Villa to ‘prepare’ the bride and her attendants/guests for the ceremony. This can also include a full manicure, if wanted.

Live Music – we have a range of live music acts, both Italian and from overseas, depending upon your budget and choice of music. Alternatively, we can set up for a DJ to manage the music for the whole day.

Chauffeur Driven cars.- whether you want to arrive at the wedding in a convertible Rolls Royce, have taxis on stand-by for your guests or need a coach for a family visit to the vineyards, we can provide a superb service.

Additional Accommodation - if the size of your wedding party exceeds the capacity of La Villa, we will make all necessary arrangements for some of your guests to stay in other nearby properties (all within 10 minutes) and can offer a range of different options to meet everyone's personal budget requirements. During one of your planning visits we will take you to visit the other accommodation.

We can also arrange a number of other activities during your stay to keep you and your wedding guests occupied and amused!

Pamper Day – whether you want to stay at La Villa for massage and reflexology by the side of the pool or you want to visit a specialist spa for hydrotherapy and mud treatment.

Wine and Grappa Tour – take a day being chauffeur-driven (or driving yourself, if you prefer) to some of the finest wineries in Piedmont to sample a wide range of superb wines, fortified by an excellent lunch and culminating in a visit to the nearby Berta grappa distillery – one of the best known in all of Italy.

Hen and Stag events – if you want to arrange a special day or evening for the separate groups of male and female guests, we will be delighted to plan something special with you.

Barbeques – we have a large covered BBQ area next to the pool and the back garden. We are happy to cater for some, or all, of your guests or just let you take over yourselves.
